Carlos Flores is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He majors in Architecture, with a minor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He worked with the Mayor of South Bend and 2020 presidential candidate, Pete Buttigieg, to propose and design a cost effective park "as a prototype for the future development of underdeveloped areas of town with a goal to ultimately reduce the crime rate in such areas by keeping kids off the streets." The park was completed in May 2019. He interned with Cooper Architectural Systems to optimize processes and design cutting edge products. In his spare time, he volunteers at his local food bank, camps, and Catholic Charities.

On campus, Carlos is a member of the Notre Dame Varsity Cheer Team. He served as a the Head Mentor for Notre Dame's chapter of QuestBridge Scholars. He was a founding member of HCP Senior Mentorship Program. In 2021, he spent the summer abroad in Rome with the College of Architecture.
