Derrick is a Finance and a Film, Television and Theater Major. In high school, he was a part of student government and several service clubs (NHS, Key Club, One Brother to Another).
After freshman year, Derrick worked at the IDEA Center as an intern and will continue with them in the fall. He was also hall staff for Dillon Hall. A Gates Scholar, Derrick served as a Squad Leader for the Gates Scholars Summer Institute. He mentored new high school students and met with them at their conference in Los Angeles.
Derrick hopes to study abroad and is excited for summer opportunities in the future.
