Dayeel is from West Palm Beach, Florida, and studies Engineering Design at the University of Notre Dame. He is an AnBryce Scholar and a QuestBridge Scholar.As a Notre Dame Undergraduate Engineering Research Assistant, Dayeel uses motion tracking hardware during research experiments to record and analyze data on the movements of individuals with spinal cord injuries, in addition to building and repairing equipment for the Biomedical Engineering Lab. In his role as a Product Design Student Researcher for the IDEA Center at the University of Notre Dame Internship, Dayeel  designed and created products for corporations and individual customers using 3D printing and laser cutting/engraving techniques. During is time at Notre Dame, Dayeel has undertaken several leadership positions on campus and is involved in multiple student organizations like the National Society of Black Engineers. Dayeel defines success as ""leaving a place better than the way you found it", and he strives to exemplify that in everything he  endeavors.
