Jasmine Mitchell is a junior studying American Studies with minors in Business Economics and Public Policy. She carries a passion for diversity and inclusion but is also interested in the worlds of urban policy & business. Jasmine has interned at various companies, including UPS Inc, Aaron Inc, The Intersect Group, and FTI Consulting.
During this academic year, Jasmine will be studying aboard in London this fall. This will be followed by a semester in Washington DC in the spring. While aboard, Jasmine will serve on 1stGND’s student board as the Study Aboard Liaison. She will also work virtually as a student worker for Sara Bea Disability Services and research assistant under Professor Robert Collinson, Department of Economics.
Additionally, this past summer. Jasmine spent 8-weeks conducting independent research in Dublin, Ireland. Her research was focused on observing the impact of financialization on affordable housing for single working individuals. After this experience, Jasmine hopes to use her insights in her senior thesis and future career. Upon graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in the field of consulting or public policy.
