Kanysha Green

Kanysha Green is a Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering major in the College of Engineering. She is
part of the Building Bridges Mentoring Program and an AnBryce Scholar. Her plans are to pursue a
career in medicine and ultimately become a medical doctor.

Kanysha's interest in becoming a doctor started at a very early age. As a young girl, she would imagine
herself going out into her community and making a difference in the lives of those who were sick and less
fortunate. She even spent a great deal of time caring for her grandmother by organizing doctor's
appointments and helping her schedule time to take medications.

Kanysha was very active at her local high school. She spent countless hours volunteering and
coordinating different events with the school's faculty. She also participated in the National Honors
Society, National Technical Honors Society, and History Club.

During her time at Notre Dame, she plans to be involved in campus activities and join various academic
clubs. This will not only enrich her experience as a college student but will also offer her opportunities to
make different connections with others. And given the opportunity, she plans to study abroad which will
widen her knowledge of other cultures and traditions.
