As soon as Janet realized what money was and how it influenced individuals around her, she became interested in finance. She understood at a very young age that having someone educate them on their financial decisions would help her community and many others. She came to understand that money is a sign of worth that can be created by each individual and that it serves as a tool.

Janet was extremely involved in her high school. She was able to plan and carry out fundraisers that raised money for undocumented students in her neighborhood while promoting the idea of service as president of The Spanish Club and National Honor Society. Janet also participated in Mikva Challenge, a group that promoted student voices and advocated for their financial needs.

Janet intends to join academic clubs at Notre Dame so she may learn about the various ways money has affected people and will continue to do so. She also wants to study abroad so that she can encounter different societies with various GDPs.
