Mary Nem

Hometown:
Saint Louis, MO

High School:
Rosati-Kain High School

Mary is planning to double major in an Accounting at Mendoza College of Business and Economics in the College of Arts and Letters. She is grateful and proud to be a part of AnBryce Scholars Initiative.

Mary has taken interest in accounting, specifically taxes, ever since she arrived in the United States six years ago. As she learned more about accounting in high school, she is determined more than ever to become an accountant or auditor one day.

In high school, Mary participated in Campus Ministry, National Honor Society, Library Guild, and Mu Alpha Theta Club (Vice President). She learned a lot from those experiences, including the fact that she has a lot more to learn.

During her time at Notre Dame, Mary would love to do summer service, such as working with the immigrants and in childcare, as she loves babies. She also would like to do an internship and expand her knowledge as well as developing job skills. She can not wait to study aboard!

Mary is here today because of family, friends, relatives, teachers and even strangers. She is ready to serve and shares her experiences with others while cultivating her heart and mind. One day she would like to become a person who will be able to help and offer her talents to her community.
