Scholar Selection Process

The scholar selection process takes place the spring of a student's senior year of high school. After being admitted to the University, our selection committee searches for first generation college students with a unique blend of academic accomplishments, leadership potential, a desire to be part of a cohort, and a curiosity about the larger world.  We ask students to submit an essay and letter of recommendation. Candidates will then go through an interview process before a cohort of 8-10 scholars is identified. Scholars are notified of their acceptance before May 1st.

We encourage academic inquisitiveness, developing leadership skills, and both resilience and seeking help in the face of adversity.

AnBryce is mutually selective. Students retain their University-provided aid with or without our program. We understand choice and participation in decision making as vital to program investment and ownership for our students, building necessary self-advocacy and confidence in scholars.

We would love to talk to you if you are a prospective Notre Dame student! For more information about the selection process and eligibility or to recommend a student, please email Amanda Hammond at anbryce@nd.edu.
